Srinagar, Dec 03 (KNB):The State Vigilance Department registering a case and arresting an employee of the state Revenue Department has not deterred the Department from appointing him at key post. According to details received by the Kashmir News Bureau, after receiving complaint in 2013 the State Vigilance set the trap and arrested the then Patwari of Halqa Nandpora Tariq Ahmad Mir hailing from Kangan, red handed.
According to reliable sources, the said revenue official was arrested by the vigilance Department under FIR numbering: 2/2013 under sec – 5-5(2) PC act – RW – 161 /RPC . Despite being under suspension and after getting released on the bail the said official , the Department of Revenue set aside the inquiry of vigilance department appointed the tainted employee in important area like Zoonimar Eidgah as Patwari.
Sources state that the said revenue employee has amassed huge resources and brought under his undue influence, the higher authorities in the revenue department have no satisfactory response to it. Despite efforts to contact the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar on this issue no response was achieved.
An official pleading anonymity stated that without final decision on the said matter the revenue department should not have appointed him to such important position again.(KNB).
