Srinagar 19 January (KNB): At least 7-8 employees working at Axis Bank, Sara City Plaza, Srinagar have been detected Covid19 positive for a few days and despite that the branch has been allegedly opened for the other employees.

Credible sources confirmed to News Agency KNB that the employees of the Axis Bank housed in two floors of the Sara City Plaza have been forced to arrive for duties after the branch detected at least 7-8 employees Covid19 positive for a few days.

However, as a prophylactic measure, the bank should have been closed in order to stem the spread of the virus after the branch’s employees were found positive for the Covid19.

When KNB contacted the Operations Head of the Axis Bank, he also confirmed that some of its employees have been detected positive for Covid19. “The other employees of the branch have undergone tests and were found negative,” he said.

On questioning about the bank being kept open for the employees despite Covid19 cases found there, the Operations Head of the Axis Bank refuted the allegations and said, “it is completely wrong.” (KNB)
