New Delhi 29 December (KNB): Compensation of Rs 5 lakh will go to the families of the journalists who died due to the Covid19 while rendering their duty.
A number of journalists’ list was compiled by the information and broadcasting ministry’s Press Information Bureau (PIB) for disbursing compensation and has asked its regional units to make a list of those who have been missed from including into the list.
Since 2019, the PIB had formed Journalist Welfare Fund through which a compensation of up to Rs 5 lakh was formulated to be given to deceased journalist’s family who lost his/her life during the duty. (KNB)
