Srinagar 16 April(KNB): An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 struck Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush region early Wednesday morning, with tremors felt in parts of India, including the Delhi-NCR region, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said.
According to NCS, the quake occurred at a depth of 75 km.
A 5.9 magnitude earthquake is considered strong enough to cause serious damage, especially near the epicentre. However, no reports of casualties or damage have emerged so far.(KNB)
