Srinagar 19 August (KNB): A 4.5 magnitude earthquake jolted Afghanistan on Thursday around 11:22:49 IST with a depth of 92km, as per National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
The earthquake hit Afghanistan with its origin in the Hindu Kush on Thursday. The magnitude of the earthquake was 4.5, and its latitude and longitude were 35.53 and 69.84, respectively.
However, in the morning at 05:08:34 IST, another earthquake was recorded, which hit Jammu and Kashmir with a magnitude of 3.6, as per NCS.
It is pertinent to mention that so far in the day three earthquakes have occurred in different parts of India, which include J&K, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. (KNB)
