Srinagar 10 October (KNB): The Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre, showcased its latest batch of 301 passing out young soldiers from the State of J&K.
Recruit Course Serial number 122, on having completed one year of strenuous training was attested on 10 October 2020 at a glittering parade at Bana Singh Parade Ground of Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre. Lt Gen B S Raju, Chinar Cops Commander, reviewed the attestation parade, depicting graduation of a recruits and transformation into young soldiers.

The young soldiers of the Regiment hailing from all regions and religions of the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh, marching in precise unison, singing their regimental song ‘Balidanam Veer Lakshanam’, inspired one and all as their voice echoed in the Kashmir Valley. Their salute to the Tri-Color. while the National Anthem was playing in the background, inspired a patriotic fervor among all the present during the parade.
Lt Gen B S Raju congratulated the young soldiers for their immaculate parade and impressed upon selfless service towards the Nation. He complimented them for the completion of a tough training regimen to become a soldier. He further emphasized the importance of imbibing high personal values in order to discharge the duties of an Indian Army soldier.
The Chinar Corps Commander stressed upon all the young soldiers about the immense responsibility, which now rests on their shoulders towards their nation, families and society. He also took the opportunity to address all present and asked them to come forth and help our youth who have gone astray to return back to the mainstream. The Reviewing Officer also facilitated the young soldiers who excelled themselves in varied facets of training.
Recruit Manik Sharma was awarded the Sher-e-Kashmir Sword of Honor and Treveni Singh Medal for being adjudged ‘Over all Best Recruit and Chewang Rinchen medal for being ‘Best in Firing’. (KNB)
