Srinagar 12 February (KNB):As Khelo India national winter games will be held in Gulmarg, J&K Hoteliers Club and United Tourism Forum are optimistic about tourism getting massive boost in Kashmir Valley.
J&K Hoteliers Club and United Tourism Forum addressed a press conference, said that the Khelo India national winter games are being held to promote the tourism sector of the Valley.
While addressing the media, Chairman Hoteliers Club, Mushtaq Chaya and President Gulmarg Hoteliers Club, Mukthar Shah ensured that sufficient arrangements and facilities are in place for the officials and athletes participating in the games.
Mushtaq Chaya said that it is their responsibility to make the event a success and further emphasised that Khelo India Winter Games are being held at Gulmarg in order to promote tourism in the Valley.
He further expressed gratitude towards Lt Governor of UT Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha.
Chaya said that they are thankful to Administration for hosting the National Winter Games in the world famous tourist resort.
He emphasised that the move to select Gulmarg for the mega sports event by the administration certainly marks a point.
Chaya assured that the hoteliers are ready to contribute towards making it a successful event.
“we are in coordination with Tourism department and Sports council,” he said, adding the hoteliers are ready to serve.
To ensure smooth tourism activities in the valley, peace is need, he said, adding that they appreciate and are thankful to Tourism department as well as UT Administration for taking up this massive step to revive the Tourism not only in Gulmarg but in the entire valley.
Pertinently, Mega sports event, “2nd Khelo India National Winter Game” will be held in Gulmarg from 26th of Feb to 2nd March 2021. (KNB)
