Srinagar 13 December (KNB): Two unidentified militants have been killed in a brief shootout that started a while ago in Central Kashmir Srinagar’s Rangreth area, said Police.
In the shootout, two unidentified militants were killed by Police. Earlier Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet that “Encounter has started at Rangret area of Srinagar. Srinagar Police on job.” The tweet was followed by another one, which said “02 unidentified militants killed. Search going on.”
The shootout took place in the absence of the other forces as the officials had said that the Srinagar police were engaged in the operation, which hinted that the shootout was underway without the inclusion of other government forces.
However, the identities of the slain militants, killed in the encounter, are being ascertained by the officials. (KNB)
