2 OGWs Arrested in South Kashmir, Empty Hideout Busted in Srinagar: Police

Srinagar 28 September (KNB): Two Over Ground Workers (OGWs) were arrested by security forces on Tuesday in South Kashmir and consequently a hideout was also busted in Srinagar’s Rajouri Kadal after an interrogation of the duo, said Police.  

Officials said that Srinagar Police with the assistance of Pulwama police and 50 RR arrested two Over Ground Workers in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The duo were interrogated after that, resulting in the revelation of a hideout in Srinagar’s Rajouri Kadal area of Nowhatta. 

The police said that a Cordon and Search Operation was carried out later on and during which the hideout was busted. Regarding the hideout, police said that it was empty and the owner of the house is being questioned. 

However, police also said that the hideout was built by the two arrested OGWs on the direction of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant commander Riyaz Sathrgund. 

Police officials further said that an investigation is going on. (KNB)
