Srinagar 19 May (KNB): 15 days after consuming poisonous substance at Police Station Wanpoh Kulgam, Assistant Sub Inspector succumbs at SKIMS Soura in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Wednesday.
While not revealing the identification, officials said that the ASI of Jammu and Kashmir Police, from Drung locality of Tangmarg, had consumed some poisonous substance while being posted at Police Station Wanpoh Kulgam on 5th of May.
As per the officials, the 50 year old ASI was shifted SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment and breathed his last during the morning hours today.
Officials said that a case under FIR number 21/2021 under section 306 IPC has been registered and further investigation in this regard has been initiated. (KNB)
