10 JKAS Officers Transferred, Posted As District Mineral Officers

Srinagar 04 February (KNB): The J&K Government on Friday transferred ten Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers and posted them as District Mineral Officers in ten districts of J&K. 

An order copy lying with KNB reads, “Consequent upon their promotion and in the interest of administration, the following Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service officers are hereby transferred and posted as District Mineral Officer in the Districts mentioned against each.”  

The JKAS officers who have been posted as District Mineral Officers include Javid Ahmad Rather posted in Srinagar, Hilal Ahmad Bhat posted in Pulwama, Salam Din posted in Udhampur, Peer Zahid Ahmad posted in Baramulla, Gulshan Kumar posted in Jammu, Showkat Ahmad Bhat posted in Anantnag, Shajhat Ahmad Qureshi posted in Kupwara, Rajinder Singh posted in Kathua, Mohammad Sayeed posted in Samba and Mohd Naseeb posted in Rajouri. 

It was further ordered that the officers presently working against the post(s) of District Mineral officer in the above districts shall report to the Joint Director, Geology and Mining, Jammu/Kashmir as the case may be. 

“Ten (10) posts from the overall cadre strength of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service () at the level of Time Scale of JKAS are transferred to the Mining Department for the purpose of drawing the salary of the above officers, till the above officers remain posted there,” the order reads.
