Srinagar, February 3(KNB): The 10 Battalion Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Batmaloo, Srinagar, organized a Medical Camp at the Srinagar Municipal Corporation for the residents of Karan Nagar area on Saturday.
In a statement issued to News agency KNB, Dr. Arun Choudhary, Assistant Commandant (MO) of 10 Bn SSB, led the medical team, providing health check-ups and treatment to approximately 142 local residents. The initiative aimed at addressing immediate healthcare needs, with free medicines being distributed to the people of Karan Nagar.
Beyond medical assistance, the event also served as a platform to raise awareness on crucial social issues. Dr. Choudhary sensitized the community on topics such as “Beti Bachhao, Beti Padao,” “Swechhta Hi Seva,” and “Mission Lifestyle.” Additionally, the attendees were educated about the detrimental effects of drug addiction on health and wellness.
Furthermore, guidelines were issued to promote hygiene and sanitation practices, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
