Virat Kohli spent time with Kids on children’s day

On November 14 every year, India celebrates Children’s Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, who was fond of children. Sports stars like Virat Kohli, Saina Nehwal led the celebrations on Wednesday, wishing everyone a Happy Children’s Day.

November 14 started being celebrated as Children’s Day in the country only after Nehru’s demise in 1964. Before that, Children’s Day was celebrated on November 20, much like it is in most countries, as it is the Universal Children’s Day as declared by the United Nations.

Virat Kohli also spent time with kids on this day, shared a picture and said, “Great to meet these kids! Happy Children’s day.”
