Twin Grenade Blast In South Kashmir

Srinagar 30 May (KNB): “Suspected militants hurled grenade attack in twin places in Pulwama district and Tral area of South Kashmir on Wednesday,” reports said

Sources said Kashmir News Bureau that “militants lobbed a grenade at a joint naka of the police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on new circular road in Banora village of the Pulwama district.

However, the grenade missed the target and exploded in an orchard.

In second attack, Suspected Militants lobbed a grenade at the residence of a former legislator of opposition National Conference in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Reports said that a grenade was hurled at the residence of former legislator Late Muhammad Ashraf Bhat in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district

However, in both attacks, No casualties were reported.

On 23 May, ten civilians, including a 12-year-old boy, were injured in a grenade attack carried out by unknown persons on security forces patrol party at Goriwan Chowk in the Bijbehara area of south Kashmir.

The resulting explosion caused injuries to the civilians, including the boy and a few women.(KNB)
