Tral villages without water supply for years

Tral, December 07(KNB): Residents of Haripari Tral of south Kashmiris Pulwama district are allegedly that PHE department failed to provide water supply from last three years.

The locals said that they are using contaminated water from open sources since from last three years due to shortage of potable water.




While Taking to Kashmir News Bureau, Gulam Rasool a Local said, “Despite repeated representations, the concerned department has not bothered to supply the clean drinking water.”

The residents said that due to the incessant rains the water in nallahs and ponds has become muddy and unsafe for human consumption.

“People here regularly fall sick and children are vulnerable to diseases”, said Rayees Ahmad a local.

When Kashmir News Bureau contacted Chief Engineer PHE Wahid Ahmad, he said, “Will look after into the matter as soon as possible and will resolve the complaints of residents which are complaining of untidy water. (KNB)
