Tral, December 22(KNB):An encounter broke out on Saturday morning in Tral area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district in which Six militants were killed.
As per reports,a cordon and search operation was launched today morning by joint team of army’s 42 RR, SOG and CRPF following intelligence inputs about the presence of militants at Arampora hamlet of Dadsara.
Moreover, the militant group hiding inside the hideout opened fire after the forces fired some warning shots towards them triggering off a gunfight which lasted for a brief time.
According to reports, “Six militants of Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind militant outfit including its Deputy Chief Soliha have been killed the identities of other five militants is being ascertained.
The bodies of all the slain militants along with as many weapons and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the gunfight site.
Meanwhile, as the news of militant killings spread in the town, youth took out to streets which led to massive protests in several parts of Tral.(KNB).
