CEO Issues Advisory to Schools Planning Excursions to Gulmarg

Srinagar, July 2(KNB): The Chief Executive officer GDA has issued a circular advising government and private schools to avoid planning excursions to Gulmarg on weekends, specifically Saturdays and Sundays, due to the heavy rush of locals and tourists.

The circular states that schools must obtain prior permission from the Gulmarg Development Authority (GDA) at least one week before the excursion. The permission must be sought through the official email of GDA Gulmarg (gulmarggda@gmail.com) or by contacting 9622500725.

The department has also mandated that schools provide detailed information, including the total number of buses and students, bus members, and mobile numbers of teachers and staff. No bus will be allowed to enter Gulmarg without proper permission from GDA.

To avoid traffic congestion, the department has advised schools to limit their bus fleet to less than four buses per school, as a large number of buses have been causing traffic jams in the area.(KNB)
