RAMBAN, AUGUST 30(KNB) — A catastrophic cloudburst struck a village in the Rajgarh tehsil of Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on Saturday, leaving at least three people dead and five others missing.
According to official sources, the sudden and intense rainfall triggered devastating flash floods that swept through the area, causing significant damage to property. Rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the affected village to begin search operations for the missing individuals.
”We have recovered three bodies from the site,” an official confirmed. “The search continues for five other people who are still unaccounted for.” He added that a full-scale rescue operation is underway, and efforts are being made to provide immediate relief and support to the families impacted by the tragedy.(KNB)
