Aknoor 27 Feb(KNB): A terrorist attack on an Indian Army convoy in Sunderbani, Akhnoor, was thwarted yesterday, with the army responding to the firing.
According to official sources, the terrorist firing was ineffective, and no casualties were reported among the army personnel.
However, conflicting reports emerged on social media, claiming that there were casualties among the army troops. The Indian Army has denied these claims, terming them as “false and deliberate disinformation.”
“The army responded promptly and effectively to the terrorist attack, and there were no casualties among our troops,” an army spokesperson said. “We urge citizens to be cautious of misinformation spread on social media and to rely on official sources for accurate information.”
The army has launched a search operation and area has been cordoned off, and security forces are conducting a thorough search to track down the terrorists.
