TeH Chairman Ashraf Sehrai’s son joins militant ranks

Srinagar, March 24 (KNB): In a sensational development, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai’s son Junaid has reportedly joined the largest Kashmiri militant outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen.

According to news flow emanating on social media, Junaid has joined Hizb. A photo showing him wielding gun is currently going viral on social media, as has been the case in Kashmir for some time when a recruit joins militancy.
Importantly, Junaid’s decision to join Hizb-ul-Mujahideen comes on the heels of his father taking over the reins of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat from the veteran leader and Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

Sehrai is an old associate of Geelani and a seasoned voice and veteran member of Jamat-e-Islami. Further it is learnt police have filed a missing report on the request of the family. Meanwhile DGP has urged Sehari to appeal his son and other local boys to shun gun (KNB)
