Srinagar, Dec 7 (KNB):Srinagar Police on Sunday attached a double-storey residential house valued at nearly ₹1 crore under provisions of the NDPS Act.
The property, situated at Natipora, belongs to Javid Ahmad Ganie, son of Nazir Ahmad Ganie of Astan Mohalla, Natipora. Police said the accused is a habitual drug peddler and is involved in FIR No. 23/2025 under Sections 8/21 and 29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Chanapora.
Investigators concluded that the house had been purchased using proceeds generated from illegal narcotics trade. Following these findings, the competent authority issued an attachment order under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.
The action was carried out in the presence of the Executive Magistrate First Class, Chanapora, ensuring all legal procedures were followed. As per the order, the owner has been barred from selling, transferring, modifying, or creating any third-party interest in the property.
Srinagar Police said it will continue its aggressive campaign against drug traffickers and those aiding or financing the illegal trade.(KNB)
