Srinagar Police Along with CRPF Conduct Extensive Security Checks in City Center

SRINAGAR, Nov 8(KNB): The Srinagar Police, in a coordinated effort with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), conducted extensive security checks and cordon operations across key locations in the city today.

The joint operation focused on high-footfall areas including Lal Chowk, Maisuma, and Budshah Chowk. The security measures involved thorough inspections of vehicles and commuters as a proactive step to ensure public safety and deter potential threats.

The operation saw the participation of troops from the 132 Battalion CRPF. A significant aspect was the involvement of women personnel from the 88 Battalion CRPF, who worked alongside the women’s component of the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) to facilitate respectful and comprehensive checks.

An official said that such exercises are a continuous part of their strategy to maintain lasting peace and a secure environment for both citizens and tourists. The operation concluded smoothly, reinforcing the security apparatus’s commitment to public order.(KNB)
