Srinagar 29 December (KNB): As per the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Srinagar again last night went below freezing point after momentary relief, with the lowest temperature recorded in North Kashmir’s Gulmarg.
According to the MeT’s daily weather parameter, the temperature in Srinagar last night settled at -2.3 degrees C after the same was recorded as 1.4 degrees C on the previous night in the summer capital.
The coldest place, as per the weather parameter, was Gulmarg which recorded -10.4 degrees C last night compared to the previous night’s -9.4 degrees C.
Similarly, the temperature last night in other places of Kashmir was recorded as 0.6 degrees C in Qazigund, –3.2 degrees C in Kupwara, -0.4 degrees C in Kokernag and -2.4 degrees C in Konibal.
It is pertinent to mention that the MeT officials have predicted the weather to remain mainly clear in J&K, with no major snowfall to occur till this month’s end. (KNB)
