Srinagar, June 6 (KNB): A foreign militants affiliated with militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba was killed in an encounter on Monday with security forces at Zaloora area of North Kashmir’s Sopore officials said.
According to reports reached to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, One Militant was Killed, However three other militants, two of them foreigners and another local, managed to escape from the encounter site.
Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar said in a tweet, “As per the documents recovered from the killed Pakistani militant, he has been identified as Hanzalla of Lahore, Pakistan,” he said, adding, “One AK rifle, 05 magazines along with ammunition has been recovered. Further details shall follow.
Meanwhile, on a specific input about the presence of militants in the Zaloora area of Sopore, security forces launched cordon and search operation which turned into an encounter.(KNB)
