Srinagar 02 December (KNB): Weatherman on Thursday said that the expected snowfall in J&K would likely start from late night of Saturday till Monday with the main activity of it to be seen on 5th of this month i.e., Sunday.
As the snowfall’s prediction by officials was already given earlier, the weatherman today said that the snowfall would increase in intensity gradually from 4th December after starting its activity late at night on the same day.
It was further said that the peak of the snowfall’s activity would be observed on Sunday (5th December).
“Plains of Kashmir likely to receive light (2-3 Inches) of snowfall whereas higher reaches >2000m of J&K likely to receive moderate snowfall (upto 6-7 inches),” said the weatherman, adding that some places on higher reaches may receive heavy snow on 5th.
Regarding the weather condition of the winter capital of J&K during the period, it was said that light to moderate rain would be likely observed at most places of Jammu region. (KNB)
