Srinagar, April 10 (KNB): On Tuesday strategically important, Srinagar-Leh highway traffic was suspended following fresh snowfall at Zojilla and Sonamarg in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday.
Reports said that health resort of Sonamarg received around two inches snow while rains lashed the other areas of the district.
“Traffic was temporarily suspended on the highway after fresh snow caused slippery conditions and slides at few places,” said a senior traffic police official.
He said that the road will be opened for traffic after weather improves. (KNB)
