Snake Bite Leaves Teenager Hospitalized in Srinagar’s Uptown

Srinagar, August 1(KNB) – In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old boy was bitten by a snake in the Kursu area of Srinagar’s uptown on Wednesday evening.

Aaman Nawaz was taken to the hospital after he cried out in pain while retrieving his father’s lunch box from their car. Doctors confirmed the snake bite and administered anti-venom. The boy is currently under observation and stable.

This rare incident has sent shockwaves among locals, as snake bites are uncommon in Kashmir, particularly in urban areas like Srinagar.

The Kursu locality, where the incident occurred, is situated on the banks of the Jehlum river, which has experienced a significant decrease in water levels due to prolonged dry spells. (KNB)
