Anantnag 07 Feb 2018 (KNB): The wife of slain cop of Babar who was killed in SMHS shootout has leveled serious allegations against police Department while narrating his woeful tale.
While talking to Kashmir News Bureau correspondent She said “Babar was my world as I had married him on my choice ,his sahab( boss) had taken away arms from him and this should be looked after why just two cops were with the prisoner and that too why weapons were not given to Babar by his senior.”
She prayed for same treatment to killers of Babar and stated that enquiry should be done why her husband was not given arms and why only two guards were accompanying him.
Pertinently, 22-year-old Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant escaped in dramatic style from the custody of jail officials after his associates opened fire on his escorts, when he was brought to a Srinagar hospital for a check-up on Tuesday. He was among a group of six prisoners.
Policemen Babur Ahmad Khan and Mushtaq Ahmad guarding the LeT operative were killed.(KNB)
