Srinagar 04 Jan (KNB): In a major breakthrough, SIA Kashmir in its narco-terror- financing case FIR No.19/2022 U/S 13,17,18, 39, 40 /UA P Act, U/S 120-B, 121, 121-A IPC, U/S 8/21, 8-A/27B, 29 NDPS Act of PS SIA Kashmir today executed the warrants issued by the Special UAPA Court Srinagar in terms of section 83 Cr.PC vide order dated 22.12.2023 for attachment of immovable properties including 01 kanal 6.5 Sirsai falling under Khewat No.9 & 19 situated in Estate Larkipora Awantipora of Abdul Rashid Bhat Son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat resident of Larkipora Padgampora, Awantipora and 05 kanals land falling under survey numbers 1463 and 1458, Khewat No.144, Khata No.244 situated in Estate Amargarh Sopore of Abdul Rashid Mir son of Mohammad Sultan Mir resident of Amargarh Sopore.
In a statement issued to KNB SIA said that both these absconding accused now declared as Proclaimed Offenders are evading arrest for the last one year against whom the investigation agency has initiated the proceedings for the attachment of their moveable/immoveable properties before the Special Court.
Pertinent to mention that in the instant case, SIA has so far arrested seven accused persons including one absconding accused declared Proclaimed Offender who had surrendered before the Hon’ble Special Court, and six of them have already been charge-sheeted before the Honourable Special Court.
Of the remaining five absconding accused persons including these two whose properties have been attached all have been declared as proclaimed offenders including those …presently based in Pakistan.
The execution of warrants was carried out with full cooperation and support of officials of other departments like Revenue Magistrates, Transport and local Police. (KNB)
