Urges administration to reconsider its stance
Baramulla 04 Jan(KNB): DPAP District President Baramulla and Ex MLA Shoiab lone expresses strong condemnation regarding the detention of some residents from Delina who have undertaken the construction of a road connecting their paddy fields.
In a statement issued here that Lone said that this road serves as a vital link connecting thousands of Kanals of paddy fields at Delina, Baramulla. It was a people effort, yet certain people, identified as land grabbers, are unfairly approaching the district administration and subjecting the people of Delina to unnecessary harassment in an attempt to grap their land with administrative support.
In response to this distressing situation, DPAP stands firmly with the people of Delina, advocating for their rights and supporting their cause.
Ex MLA Shoiab Lone highlights that the individuals involved in constructing the road have no intention of disrupting the natural stream. The assertion by the District administration that the road construction disturbs the stream is erroneous. The residents have diligently constructed the road without causing any harm to the stream, Lone said.
Furthermore, DPAP expresses concern over the detention of these people by the administration for their efforts in building this essential road. Such actions against the community’s development initiatives will not be tolerated.
Shoiab Lone urges the Administration to conduct an on-site visit, advocating for an impartial assessment of the situation rather than relying solely on the perspective of alleged land grabbers.
Shoiab Lone warns the administration against favoring certain privileged blue eyed persons, cautioning that if support for these select few continues, DPAP will consider taking further action, including the possibility of initiating a strike.
Shoiab Lone urge the administration to reconsider its stance, respect the people’s efforts, and refrain from unjust actions that impede the progress and welfare of the people of Delina.(KNB)
