Baramulla 20 Jan(KNB): Shoaib Lone, the former MLA and District President of DPAP Baramulla, held a meeting with Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Minga Sherpa to address the pressing water crisis in Nowpora, Mirangund, Shrakwara, Vizer, and surrounding areas of the Baramulla district.
During the meeting, Shoaib Lone discussed the acute water scarcity issues plaguing these villages, emphasizing the urgent need for intervention to alleviate the hardships faced by the residents.
Shoaib Lone proposed a solution to Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, suggesting that the dedicated water supply currently allocated to the fishers farm could be redirected to provide relief to the affected villages.
He argued that such redirection could effectively address the water woes in Nowpora, Mirangund, Shrakwara, Vizer, and adjacent areas.
Lone’s advice to the Deputy Commissioner underscores the gravity of the situation and the imperative need for swift action to ensure the well-being of the communities grappling with water shortages.
The meeting was attended by the former Chairman of MC Baramulla Umar Azhar Kakroo, Ovaise Akhoon, Vice President of Baramulla DPAP.(KNB)
