Srinagar 07 Oct(KNB): Zahoor Ahmad Malik, Chairman of the Shahabad Development Forum called on Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha.
In a statement issued to KNB that the discussion revolved around several pivotal issues that have been affecting the region, aiming to bring positive changes and uplift the living standards of its residents.
One of the foremost topics of discussion during the meeting was the urgent need for the construction of the KapranDessaRoad.
Chairman Malik emphasized that this road project would not only enhance connectivity but also boost the local economy by facilitating smoother transportation within the area. The proposed road is expected to bring numerous benefits to the Shahabad community.
Additionally, the Chairman underlined the importance of establishing an engineering complex at Dooru, which would serve as a hub for technical and vocational education, potentially creating employment opportunities for local youth.
Healthcare infrastructure was another crucial point of discussion. Chairman Malik advocated for the development of a modern Maternal and Child Health (MCH) hospital at Dooru, alongside the establishment of Community Health Centers (CHCs) at Verinag and Primary Health Centers (PHCs) at Kapran, Qammer, Hiller, Ujroo, and Larkipora. These healthcare facilities would significantly improve access to quality medical services for the residents of Shahabad, addressing a long-standing concern.
The meeting also addressed the pressing need for the upgradation of fire and emergency services at Larkipora. This upgrade is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of the community during emergencies, highlighting the commitment to the residents’ security.
In response to these concerns, Lt. Governor Shri Manoj Sinha ji expressed his understanding of the issues and assured Chairman Malik and the Shahabad Development Forum of his full support and assistance in addressing these demands. This commitment from the Lt. Governor underscores the government’s dedication to the comprehensive development of Shahabad.
