Kupwara 26 Sep: Science Day was celebrated by children and the Army at Kamkari Village near the Line of Control in Macchal Sector, Kupwara.
Numerous science projects, medical equipments and surveillance devices were displayed at the Kamkari Middle School. A total of three teachers and 54 students participated in the event.
In a statement issued to news gathering agency Kashmir News Bureau, that The little school children of this remote border area were enthralled to see these modern equipments and devices.
Majority of these projects were hand made by troops and have been handed over to the local school for use. The unit had earlier distributed stationary items for children to ensure that children’s studies are not adversely affected due to COVID 19. During the event the Medical Officer of the Local Army unit also briefed the kids on the importance of first aid, precautions to be taken from common ailments and cold related injuries and also on the use of common medicines to treat it. School children listened with rapt attention and smiling faces.
The cheers on the faces and smiles motivates the Indian Army to continuously come up with innovative projects for the benefit of the children who are the future of the Nation.(KNB)
