Srinagar 24 June (KNB): PDP vice President Sartaj Madni has condemned the killing of a civilian, Yawar Ahmad Dar of Gassipora and also expressed grief over the civilian injuries following an encounter in the area.
Expressing grief and sorrow over the loss of one more young life, Madni extended heartfelt condolences to Dar family.
“Violence has consumed an entire generation in the Valley and continues to devour our young. We reiterate our commitment to work towards resolving the political issue in Jammu and Kashmir and create an atmosphere of peace, justice and tranquility,” Sartaj Madni said while talking to Kashmir News Bureau.
Pertinently, two militants were killed in an encounter with security forces while another surrendered in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday.
A civilian was also killed in firing allegedly by security forces, who came under attack from stone-pelting locals near the encounter site. (KNB).
