Pulwama 27 Sep(KNB): In a significant development in the Sanjay Sharma murder case, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir conducted a series of fresh searches on the morning of September 27, 2023. The case, registered under FIR No 14/2023 at Police Station Litter Pulwama, revolves around the chilling murder of Sanjay Sharma, a bank ATM guard, at Achan Pulwama in February earlier this year.
In a statement issued to News agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, SIA said, today’s operation marks the fourth round of searches conducted by SIA since taking over the investigation from the Pulwama Police. Acting on warrants issued by the Special Designated Court, seven special teams from SIA were deployed for the operation. Crucial evidence, including mobile devices and incriminating documents, was seized during the operation.
The search operation extended its reach to multiple districts, including Anantnag (03 locations), Shopian (03 locations), and Pulwama (01 location), underscoring the seriousness with which SIA is pursuing the case, they said.
State Investigation Agency has reiterated its commitment to expedite the case for judicial determination, assuring that justice will be served promptly. SIA emphasized its dedication to upholding the rule of law and ensuring the harshest punishment for all individuals involved in the gruesome murder of Sanjay Sharma, a Kashmiri Pandit, they further said.
