Srinagar, Dec 13 (KNB): As Dangal actress Zaira Wasim took to Instagram to recount her ordeal wherein she alleged molestion inside a Mumbai-bound Air Vistara flight by a middle aged male passenger in a business class has erupted a new controversy.
The video went viral thanks to national news channels and newspapers who described the video of Zaira as shameful.
Bollywood stars left no stone unturned to condemn the alleged act and want immediate action against the culprit.
But the question raised by one of the Delhi based Guinness Record Holder Madhu Agrawal that “It is unbelievable that a matured girl traveling with her mother in business-class of the airplane could not find any opportunity to shout in the two-hours long journey to complain about alleged molestation.”
Iqbal Khan, a famous Bollywood actor while taking to Kashmir news Bureau state – “Firstly I would like to say that I don’t know what is right and wrong but the reaction of some Kashmiri against Zaira Waseem was really unfortunate and unjustified, as how they were commenting and abusing this the alleged victim on social media.
He added “She is from your state Kashmir, please adopt her and treat her as own.”
Dangal actress posted two videos, In the first video, Zaira said, “So, I was in a flight travelling from Delhi to Mumbai today and right behind me one middle-aged man who made my two-hour journey miserable. I tried to record it on phone to understand it better because the cabin lights were dimmed, I failed to get it….,
“The lights were dimmed, so it was even worse. It continued for another five to ten minutes and then I was sure of it. He kept nudging my shoulder and continued to move his foot up and down my back and neck,” she added.
Another Bollywood actor Santosh Shukla while taking to Kashmir news bureau said, “Zaira is good girl and if this really happen she should slap and shout on him on that very time rather than by posting video on Instagram and crying is not a good message for those girls who are facing these kinds of molestation on daily basis.”
The wave of this incident also shocked the politicians of Jammu and Kashmir state, Chief minister Mehbooba while described it as shameful act and ordered an immediate action.
“On the same day a 30-years old woman was killed in Handwara encounter in a cross firing but the action was not taken only because she was not Zaira Waseem, this is not justice,” said a Facebook user.
However, National Commission for Women (NCW) has written to the Maharashtra DGP and the ethics officer of Vistara Airlines over the allegation of Dangal actress Zaira Wasim.
