Bandipora, Feb 01 (KNB): The locals of Aloosa Bandipora today protested over the sheer negligence of the government authorities over pathetic condition of the link road causing problems to the residents and commuters of the area.
The Aloosa Bandipora road which comes under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) was being constructed and some of the material put on the road skidded off due to the light showers which caused troubles to the residents.
“Some days before the some material for the widening of the road was put here, but due to even light showers the material skidded off from the road which is causing us lot of troubles. Two accidents also happened on the road, and this is not the season of making and constructing roads but they don’t even listen to us”, said a local.
The locals today came out on road to protest against the authorities.
“We have no other option than to come out on roads and protest, the authorities are in slumber, it is becoming so much difficult to even walk on the road because of the material which gets stucked to the clothes. Hopefully the officials will wake up and solve this problem”, said a resident.
However the authorities claim that they are working on this and soon all the material will be taken off from the road.
Sunil Kher, Official PMGSY while talking to Kashmir News Bureau said that the department is sending the Engineers on the site and they with the help of machines will help to clean the road in a day or so, and hopefully the problems of the residents will be solved. (KNB)
