Poor results in class 10 Boards :Three headmasters, Eight teachers suspended

Srinagar, Jan 08(KNB):Taking strict action, the chief education officer (CEO) Srinagar has suspended three headmasters and eight teachers for poor results in the class 10 examination, results of which were declared in December last year.

The suspension order was issued on Tuesday, following directions from the director school education Kashmir (DSEK) G N Itoo.

Headmaster government boys high school (BHS) Nowhatta, BHS New Theed and BHS Saidpora have been suspended over zero percent pass percentage in the class 10th exams.

Two social studies and one science teacher from Nowhatta high school have been also put under suspension for zero pass percentage.

Only one candidate from BHS Nowhatta had appeared in class 10th exams and was declared as failed.

Two science teachers from BHS Rainawari and one from BHS Padshahibagh have been also placed under suspension. The overall pass percentage at BHS Rainawari and BHS Padshahibagh was 13.33 and 17 percent respectively.

Two social studies teachers from BHS New Theed have been also put under suspension.

As per the suspension order, the heads of the poor performing schools have been
directed to start the remedial classes for the failed students.

“The staff members who have been suspended should be deployed for the remedial classes for the students. All arrangements on account of remedial classes are to be made by poor performing teaching staff of the schools,” the order reads.(KNB)
