Karnah 05 Oct(KNB) :The lackadaisical attitude of R&B department can be gauged by the fact that from last several years the Road from Tangdar to Teetwal and Tangdar to Gabra Hajitra has led to many Accidents.Similar is the condition of Tangdar to Bijildar Jabdi which is full of potholes giving commuters a bumpy ride.
As per locals the important road stretches which connect various areas in Tangdar and other localities have been ignored by the authorities, while a big responsibility of damaged road is the local leaders, who did not want repairing of potholes or blacktopping of these road stretches, for the reasons known to them.
The roads are in a dilapidated condition and the inhabitants alleged that successive regimes had paid no attention to the macadamization of the roads. Inhabitants of the locality alleged that crores of rupees are being released for construction and maintenance of roads but unfortunately the stretches in Tangdar have not been black topped or repaired which shows the apathy of the concerned departments.

Regretting the poor condition of the Roads,which is posing danger to life and property,The locals while talking to Kashmir News Bureau said that the critical condition of Roads in karnah had brought a bad name to the Beacon and R&B Department and common people are facing a lot of hardships due to the bad condition of roads.
The Residents also alleged that the blatant corruption by the contractors,who use Sub Standard material in repairing and construction of roads has led to early depletion of the Roads and developing of potholes.
The Residents of these villages appealed to Governor for personal intervention into the matter so that the locals of the area will not face any hardships.(KNB)
