Srinagar, Feb 21 (KNB): Srinagar police has busted a car lifting gang and arrested three accused persons involved in the crime.
Sources said a special investigation team headed by SHO Parimpora under the supervision of SDPO West during the course of investigation, three accused persons were arrested and on their instances, five vehicles including four (04) four wheelers (Tata Mobile JKO5-6365, Zen DL13C 0690, Maruti JKO4-4516, Maruti JKO5-5016) and a two wheeler (Bajaj Avenger) were recovered.
With the recovery of these vehicles, Srinagar Police succeed in solving of case FIR numbers 289/2017, 300/2017, 32/2018 and 42/2018.
Meanwhile, Srinagar police has launched drive against traffic violators in Parraypora area and has seized/challaned 40 two wheelers under MV Act. Srinagar police has enjoined upon all the transporters and commuters to strictly follow the traffic rules and said that any violation will be dealt strictly.
Srinagar Police has further sought public cooperation in adherence of traffic rules for smooth regulation of traffic in the Srinagar city.
