Baramulla, 15 Feb(KNB): Police arrested a notorious drug peddler and have recovered 15 Kgs & 800 grams of contraband Poppy Straw like substance at Raipora Palhallan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A Police spokesman in a statement said that under the supervision of Sh Mohd Nawaz-JKPS SDPO Pattan assisted by SI Aeraf Niyaz, IC PP Palhallan arrested a Drug Paddler identified as Abdul Kareem Lone S/o Mohd Akbar Lone R/o Hajam Mohalla Palhallan,He was notorious drug paddler involved in selling contraband drugs to the youth of the area.
During his personal search 15kgs and 800 grams of contraband Poppy straw like substance was recovered in presence of Executive Magistrate and the said drug Peddler was taken into custody immediately.
He said that case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Pattan and investigations set in motion.
Meanwhile General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.(KNB)
