Uri June 11 (KNB) : An Iftaar party was organised at Boniyaar by the Torna Battalion, under the aegis of Pir Panjal Brigade and dagger Division on 10 june 2018, for the locals in and around Boniyar town to celebrate peace, harmony and brotherhood amongst all human beings
The locals were greeted by Brig.V.K Nambiar SM, commander Pir Panjal Brigade.The function was also attended by Commanding Officer, Torna Battalion and other officers of the formation and civil administration.
A number of local dignitaries graced the Occasion which included Mr. Mir Mushtaq BJP leader, Gh.Hassan Mir NC leader, Raja Javid Congress leader, and Mr. Nazar Boniyaari, prominent Journalist,writer and social activist of the region.The fuction was also attended by 150 locals of Boniyar town and nearby areas.
The event included the guests opening their 25th Roza with dates and fruits followed by Offering of Namaz.The event Concluded with dinner,offered in the ethnic Kashmiri Style,which was appreciated by the locals.
The Commander Pir Panjal Brigade expressed his love and concern for the Awam during interaction and thanked them for gracing the occasion in such large numbers, which expresses solidarity in relations between Awam and the Armed forces. Commander also felicitated the local religious leaders present during the event.
The Iftaar function was a great success and was appreciated by the locals as a noble initiative by Pir Panjal Brigade and Dagger Division to bring the Awam and forces closer during this month of fasting and peace.(KNB)
