PDP’s smart city promise turned out to be a cruel joke- Tanvir

Srinagar deprived of vital infrastructural & development requirement

Srinagar 31st March (KNB): National Conference leader and Omar Abdullah’s political secretary Tanvir Sadiq said that PDP’s smart city promise turned out to be a cruel joke – they used all means to publicise this but it all resulted in a ‘Big Lie’”.

In a Statement issued here “Touring interiors of Zadibal constituency, Baghat-e- Shoor, Lalbazar, Alamdar colony & while interacting with people Tanvir said “Anyone from PDP talking about Smart city should first send their city MLA’s to the interiors of downtown areas like Lalbazar and Umar colony, They will then realise that these areas even lack basic facilities and amenities”

Lashing out at the PDP Government for neglecting Srinagar City by depriving it of vital infrastructural and developmental Requirements. Tanvir added “from last 3 years there have been no new projects that have been initiated and the only once that are under construction are the ones initiated by Omar Sahab

“There is a new normal in the city these days, a project is started then suddenly stopped on frivolous grounds, if this doesn’t indicate deep rooted corruption, then I wonder what it. The Drain and Road at Baghat- e – Shoor was started but reasons unknown it has been stopped”

It seems the Mehbooba Mufti Government is hell-bent to persecute the people of Srinagar by depriving them of their basic amenities,” Tanvir said adding “The Government has turned a deaf ear towards frequent appeals by people from various areas of Srinagar for basic facilities,”

He condemned the acute shortage of essential commodities causing great suffering and misery for the people

Tanvir was accompanied by Block President Zadibal Mushtaq Beigh, Youth President Imran Bhat, Intizamia Committee President & other prominent citizens of the area.(KNB)
