Pathwaries staged protest in Anantnag

Anantnag, Feb 21 (KNB):- Scores of pathwaries of Anantnag district on Tuesday staged a massive protest against the government for failing to fulfill their genuine demands from past several years.
Hundreds of pathwaris assembled in courtyard of District commissioner office Anantnag and chanted slogans against the department as well as the government.
Talking to the KNB Pathwari association spokesperson Ferooz Khan said that the government failed to fulfill their demands as we started the protest for four days so that government will address our genuine demands, we know that people will suffer but We forced to take this action.
He added -“We demand if a graduate teacher and accounts assistant is in 2800 grade pay then why not graduate pathwaries, the DPC is to be conducted as per norm after every 6 months as per CSR, our Pathwaries and GQS are not.
Ferooz Khan said that if masters and AAOs are not recruited directly, why not Naib Tehsildars, and added that the allowances of police and move employees have been enhanced time and again, but Pathwaries and GQs not.
While threatening the government, District spokesperson of Pathwaries said that “we will go for bigger protests till the demands won’t meet.” Ferooz khan added.
