The dilapted and pathetic condition of the link road in the Dooru area of Sopore in district Baramulla is causing many problems to the residents of the area.
The road that connects the population with the main road has not been macadamized from a very long time whereas the work on the main road is going but that also on a snail’s pace.
“The bad condition of the road that also in this fast moving life is totally not acceptable, while the authorities are claiming that they are working for the overall development of the valley, here it is hardly felt. We face lot of issues while walking through this road but authorities are in slumber”, said Muhammad Shafi, a retired proffesser.
The rains make the condition of the roads more worse which aggravates the problems of the residents of the area.
“Even during the small rains, the condition of the road worsens and we prefer to stay inside and there are many big holes on the road that we cant even let our children go outside”, said another local.
Locals state that they even fear taking our excepting mothers from this road as the condition of the road is such that it causes a lot of inconvenience to those ladies and sometimes it appears that our internal organs will come out of our mouths.
The inhabitants also told Kashmir news Beruea that due to the pathetic condition of the road, students, employees and patients as well face immense hardships to reach their respective destinations. They also said that the authorities have failed on every front because of the step motherly approach and because of that they are yet to see any development in the village.
While talking to Kashmir News Bureau , Saleem Akthar Khan, AXEN R&B said that the work on the macdimisation of the roads end in September and will start again in June and the matter of the link road can be solved than only.
Further on the macdimisation of the main road he said that PHE department has to do some work on that road and after that only our department can work more on widening and making the road better.
