Srinagar, August 02 (KNB): People across the valley of Kashmir experiencing panic as the government of india in a “security advisory” said the tourists and Amarnath pilgrims to return. Earlier the centre announced the deployment of 280 companies of paramilitary forces across the state, as per sources.
The Principal Secretary (Home) on friday issued a security advisory, saying pilgrims and tourists “curtail their stay” and “return as soon as possible”.
The sources say that The centre’s, in an official notice, suggested the annual Amarnath Yatri pilgrims to “cut down the stay ” and move back to home immediately which added to the already panic situation in Kashmir.
According to reports, the people of kashmir partucularly srinagar dashing to petroll pumps with their passemgwr as well as personal vehicles to get petrol for store espicially causing massive traffic jams all across. The passengers faced diffcultie reaching home as it took four-times more time.
Jhon Mohammad, talking to the Kashmir News Bureau (KNB) said, ” I witnessed a huge dense trafic jam all the way and It took me more than two hours to travel back home from Airport what usually takes about 20 minutes”
Another local of Lalchowk, srinagar said that there is “something big going to happen, that is the reason” they are rushing to markets for necessary substance.
While taking to a driver, Manzoor Ahmad, who came finishing refilling the petrol at Hyderpora said, ” the situation of Kashmir is expected to come at halt and may get bad to worse. Therefore we have have to fill our tankies for use in emergency times as it may not available that time”
He said, “the situation currently prone to damage and can get worse any time soon, so I have to buy all the essentials for future”.
The centre on thrusday in a move to deploy further 280 companie came mere a week after the centre mobilised 100 companies to the valley citing, “Strengthening the security” in kashmir as reason.
Pertinantly, the 280 companies equal to about 28000 army men as one company of paramilitary forces is constituted of about 100 army personels.
