Srinagar 10 February (KNB): Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) candidates belonging to the National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party won the posts of Vice Chairperson and Chairperson of District Development Council (DDC) in Pulwama and Ganderbal on Wednesday.
In Pulwama, the candidates — Mukhtar Ahmad Bandh and Syed Bari Andrabi of National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party secured the posts of Vice-Chairperson and Chairperson of DDC, respectively.
In Ganderbal, National Conference’s candidate Nuzhat Ishfaq and Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate Bilal Ahmad Sheikh secured the posts of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of DDC, respectively.
Pertinently, the former Chief Minister of the erstwhile state of J&K and PAGD’s Vice President Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday tweeted and congratulated the DDC members of Pulwama and Ganderal. “Congratulations to DDC members of Pulwama & Ganderbal for showing exemplary character & courage. They stood by PAGD despite unimaginable pressures & threats,” tweeted Mebooba. (KNB)
