Suratgarh 05 Dec (KNB) : Army chief General Bipin Rawat said today operations will continue against militants in Kashmir valley.
Adding “Such operations will continue till the improvement of the situation in Kashmir valley, its upto Pakistan how they treat militant orgainsation but we will raise the issue,” Rawat told reporters on the sidelines of a ceremony at Suratgarh military station.
When asked about Pakistan “Rawat said it’s their own matter how they deal with militant orgainsation, we don’t want such organisation are promoted in any way, we know how to deal with militants in Kashmir.”
However, the ceremony was attended by top army officials including south western Army commander Lt Gen Cherish Mathson, Lt Gen P C Thimmaya general officer commanding of Chetak corps.
Importantly, the Army chief presented the Standard to 87 Armoured regiment, 47 Armoured regiment and 10 Armoured regiment after a mounted parade which was attended by and other senior officers.(KNB)
