One CRPF Trooper Killed in Batamaloo, Hizb Claims Responsibility

Srinagar 24 July (KNB): A Central Reserve Police Force (CRFP) trooper was killed when Hizbul Mujahidin militants attacked a paramilitary patrol party in Batamaloo city of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday.

According to reports reached to Kashmir News Bureau that “Militants fired on the CRPF patrol party at busy Balgarden in the congested area of the Batmaloo city.

After the attack militants flee from the site, However, CRPF showed restraint after they came under attack.

Soon after the attack, police and the CRPF cordoned the area and started a search for the militants.

Pertinently, Around 45 security force personnel including 24 men of Jammu and Kashmir Police have been killed in different incidents and attacks on the forces since January.(KNB)
