Kupwara 03 May(KNB): On the eve of EiD, lighting up lives and spreading happiness Indian Army installed Solar Micro Grid in the remote LoC Village of Kaiyya in the frontier district of Kupwara. This village is bang on the LoC around 50 Km from Kupwara, has poor road connectivity and does not have electricity which is a source of constant concern to the villagers.
In a statement issued to news agency KASHMIR NEWS BUREAU-KNB that, Earlier in 2021 in a similar initiative the Army had electrified the neighbouring Kamkari village which made a huge impact on the day to day life of the villagers.
Not only is Solar Power GREEN energy, it will also reduce dependence on Fossil Fuels, statement said..
The project is also long term and self-sustaining with minimal maintenance. The completion of this much awaited project brought smiles on everyone’s face. This noble start could shape the future of this remote village, Statement added. (KNB)
